A Huntington Beach wedding to Remember
As a Shorebreak Resort Wedding Photographer, I had the priveledge of shooting Angela and Brian’s Huntington Beach wedding. It was held at the Kimpton Shorebreak Hotel and they wanted it to be just perfect.
It was very important to Angela to get photos taken before the wedding at the Huntington Beach Pier. Planning an event like this takes a lot of consideration and coordination. We needed to arrive at the hotel early enough to get photos of the bride and bridesmaids getting ready for the big day.
We got some great detail shots and prep shots of the bride getting ready. The room was spacious and the lighting in the bathrooms was beautiful to shoot the bride putting on makeup. All this before she and the groom had their first look. Being a Shorebreak Resort Wedding Photographer, I found the perfect spot.

The Shorebreak Resort has a perfect outdoor space for a wedding ceremony. It has beautiful plants and trees and wooden walkways that set up perfectly for the first look. The lighting is even since the area is shady and surrounded by buildings so I could control the light and not worry about hot spots on the bride’s face. As a photographer this was important while shooting this Huntington Beach wedding. We want the pictures to look stunning.
After the first look we made it out to the beach to shoot under the Huntington Beach Pier. Shorebreak Resort Wedding Photographers know it is always better if you can get photos at the Huntington Pier.

I love shooting photos of the bride and bridal party walking through city streets together. It is so captivating to shoot everyone fully dressed in public. There are always lots of onlookers congratulating the bride and groom and excited for the lucky couple.
Once under the pier we shot the bridal party, family portraits and romantics in one sweep. These turned out beautifully and the beach vibe was captured throughout the session. We stayed on track with our timeline and made it back to the hotel to shoot the ceremony at the hotel. Everything was beautiful and cocktail hour followed. The venue had a very nice indoor cocktail hour area with large glass windows and easy access to the outdoor area with fire pits and outdoor seating.
Shorebreak Resort Wedding Photographers love that the indoor reception area is beautiful and spacious and has the perfect balance to combine the beach feel of the wedding with the elegance of a hotel ballroom for a Huntington Beach Wedding. Lighting effects and dancing entertainment was provided by DJ Solstice, who did not disappoint as the wedding continued into the night. It was a pleasure to shoot their special day.
